Biography

Yumi is a stand-up comedian, actress, playwright, and director who was born and raised in Japan. At age 4, her first stage debut during a ballet recital introduced her to a new world, one that she instantly felt at home in - Entertainment! The world became her stage. She finds humor in everything, everywhere. "Life is to be enjoyed" is her favorite quote. Her passion is not only for comedy/acting but also running and fitness. She's a 1999 & 2002 NYC Marathon finisher and 2002 Body For Life competitor.

Yumi has been seen New York comedy clubs, theatres, "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," and an independent feature "H.O.L.E (The Disillusionment of Mike and Eva)."

Her sweetness makes you like her, and her bicultural background teaches you things you never knew before. She has an endearing and unpredictable persona that you won't soon forget. Once you see her, you'll scream: "I love Yumi!"
